I have always wondered why more modernizing digital “cartridges” were not made for much of the incredibly well designed and built technologies that have been sitting around collecting dust.  Many have excellent optics and easily achieves very unique looks.

Apparently this concept has been in development for sometime.  Outisde of traditional hurdles put up by existing camera manufacturers, getting design to manufacturing, difficulty in sourcing for market friendly pricing is the incredible difficulty.  One can only hope this product is realized sooner rather than later.
