Vox populi, vox Dei
Voice of the people is the voice of god.
Or as many simply translates, majority rules.
Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit.
We must not listen to who keep saying, The voice of the people, the voice of God, since the riotousness of the crowd is always very close to madness.
Or as many simply translates, never underestimate the stupidity of the masses. Mob mentality.
So which one is right? If you don’t know, how can you possibly know when someone, a leader, is inciting something that will result in wrong? WTF are you opening your mouth to opine on?
*Reminder, just because “everyone” is calling for bombing of some country or boots-on-the-ground does not mean the result is right, or wrong. Simply, where does your morals lie?
A pithy imposition perhaps, but if you hate hypocrisy like the next man and would vote for all hypocrites to be shot, then uh… Which herd do you really belong?
